Jiu Jitsu

Our Story

At N-Flux, we are dedicated to fostering a healthy community of competent Jiu Jitsu practitioners by utilizing the most effective teaching and training methodologies available. Our program is rooted in the principles of ecological dynamics, providing a training experience that mirrors real-world situations. We embrace the evolution of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and the revolutionary 10th Planet system. While we are not yet an official 10th Planet affiliate, we are grateful to work under the guidance of 10th Planet Black Belts JM Holland and Zach Maslany, owners of Finishers MMA and 10th Planet Bethlehem.

Our program emphasizes adaptive training that helps you respond effectively to dynamic and unpredictable scenarios, enhancing your ability to think critically and act decisively in any grappling encounter. By viewing grappling as a strategic game, we focus on adaptability, responsiveness, and the development of skills that have the highest probability of success in both competitive arenas and real-world self-defense situations.

What to Expect

At N-Flux, all our classes are open to practitioners of all levels, from beginners to advanced students. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment with a supportive and diverse community. With an almost even balance of women and men sharing the mats, we pride ourselves on our mat culture—be a good partner, leave ego behind, roll to learn, and you’ll fit right in.

Our program is structured to guide you from foundational skills to advanced strategies, utilizing ecological dynamics to adapt your abilities to various contexts. Whether you’re new to Jiu Jitsu or looking to refine your skills, our progressive approach adapts to your individual journey, ensuring you have the highest probability of success in any grappling encounter.

Understanding Grappling as a Strategic Game

We view grappling as a strategic game with tasks, rules, and starting points. Each scenario you encounter on the mat requires critical thinking and adaptability. Whether your goal is to achieve a dominant position, overcome your opponent, or escape from a disadvantageous situation, our training equips you with the tools to respond effectively. As you progress through each level, you’ll face increasingly complex scenarios, honing the adaptive skills necessary for success in both competition and self-defense.
